Openbravo International Conference 2009

This was the official website for the first ever Openbravo International Conference on April 18-19, 2009 in Barcelona, Spain. The free event was an opportunity for the publisher to "bring together the largest number of international members of the Openbravo community to date, with nearly 300 participants expected." The conference featured sessions where community members were able to share their Openbravo ERP experiences as well as facilitated sessions by publisher collaborators.

Content is from the site's 2009 archived pages and other sources.

Video session of the community slot that Elondra presented at Openbravo World Conference 2009, where we talked about easy and affordable enterprise mobility fully integrated into Openbravo ERP with a brand new module for the 2.50 version. bmSales provides easy to install, easy to use and easy to afford enterprise mobility, integrated into Openbravo ERP. bmSales uses our SaaS model and runs on BlackBerry and standard Java enabled phones, so no investment is needed to benefit from mobility.

Join us in Barcelona next April, when Openbravo will be bringing together ecosystem members from all over the world to share and fuel the growth of the professional open source space, primarily around Openbravo ERP technology.

Participants will have the chance to meet with Openbravo’s visionaries and chief developers, learn about future plans, share and listen to Openbravo success stories, as well as learn how to create more business and complete successful implementations.

The first day of the event will be exclusively reserved to Openbravo World partners and it will be tailored to their specific interests. Participants will have the possibility to attend business-driven sessions and to profit from an open forum to solidify the relationship and support delivered by Openbravo.

The second and third days will be dedicated to Openbravo World Community. The goal of these two days is to provide an open setting for ERP professionals and enthusiasts to explore and create the best solutions, getting first-hand information from key Openbravo developers and other field experts. All Openbravo ecosystem members are welcome: developers, partners, customers, and newcomers.

Openbravo World Conference will be free for attendees. Registration now open!

Openbravo launches its first Community Awards, to honor individuals and companies for outstanding contributions to Openbravo ERP and POS projects. Nominate yourself or your favorite candidates next March, and celebrate the winners at the event!

Openbravo World Conference 2009 goes beyond previous events by placing a strong emphasis on community contributions. The Openbravo World Community Days will cover a larger scope of our ecosystem’s interests, including sessions from well respected contributors, and leaders of other open source projects.

Notable: The Openbravo technology platform is a truly modular, mobile-enabled and cloud-ready platform ready to deliver omnichannel services. I've attended a number of conferences in the intervening years since the 2009 Openbravo World Conference. And the Openbravo technology platform just keeps getting better. This 2009 conference occurred just three years after the Spanish investment company Sodena invested 6.4 million USD in the further development of the company which was renamed Openbravo. You may remember the first product launched was Openbravo ERP. As of 2018, Openbravo is present in more than 60 countries via its Global Partner Network. Openbravo targets today mid-sized to large organizations seeking for a complete solution to manage the entire business or very specific solutions that help to improve existing legacy systems. I have become an Openbravo expert. I have been working with several online merchants to modernize their back end systems. I'm most proud of the work on the Batman shirt store MoonAtMidnight.com where Batman t shirts rule the day. The work we've done enabled them to display huge images and great detail - far better presentations than their competitors - giving Batman items far superior production value and the store a competitive edge. I even bought a Batman Begins shirt which I proudly wear whenever I meet with clients - gives me a competitive edge when the Dark Knight is on my side.
